Li Hualin is the Vice President and the Secretary to the Board of Directors of PetroChina Company Limited and Vice Chairman and General Manager of China Petroleum Hong Kong (Holding) Limited.

Mr. Li, a senior engineer, holds a master’s degree and has 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in China. Mr. Li became the Deputy General Manager of the China National Oil & Gas Exploration and Development Corporation and the Chairman and General Manager of CNPC International (Canada) Ltd in December 1997, the Deputy General Manager of China National Oil & Gas Exploration and Development Corporation and the General Manager of CNPC International (Kazakhstan) Ltd. in September 1999, the Deputy General Manager of China Petroleum Hong Kong (Holding) Limited in January 2001, the Chairman of Shenzhen Petroleum Industrial Co., Ltd in December 2001, and the Vice-Chairman and General Manager of China Petroleum Hong Kong (Holding) Limited in July 2006. Mr. Li has been appointed as the Vice President of our company and the Vice Chairman and General Manager of China Petroleum Hong Kong (Holding) Limited since November 2007, and as the Chairman of CNPC (Hong Kong) Limited since January 2007. Mr. Li has been appointed concurrently as the Secretary to the Board of Directors of our company since June 18, 2009.
