Li Yongwu  is an independent non-executive Director of the Company.

Mr Li is a senior engineer and holder of a bachelor’s degree. Since June 1991, Mr Li was appointed as the Director of Tianjin Chemicals Bureau. Since July 1993, he was appointed as the Director of Tianjin Economic Committee. He became the Deputy Director of the Chemical Industry Department since April 1995. He became Director of the State's Petroleum and Chemical Industry Bureau since March 1998. Since April 2001, he was appointed as a Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government at the Special Administrative Region of Macau. Since December 2004, he was appointed as the Vice President of China Petroleum and Petrochemical Industry Association. Since May 2005, he became the President of China Petroleum and Petrochemical Industry Association. In 2003, he was elected as a standing member of the Tenth Chinese People's Consultative Conference. Mr Li was an independent Supervisor of the Company from November 2005 to May 2008, and has been appointed as an independent non-executive Director of the Company in May 2008, after he abdicated the position of Supervisor.
