Zhou Jiping is the Vice Chairman and President of the Company and General Manager of CNPC.
Mr. Zhou is a professor-level senior engineer and holds a master’s degree. He has nearly 40 years of working experience in China’s petrochemical industry. In November 1996, he was the deputy director of the International Exploration and Development Cooperation Bureau of CNPC and deputy general manager of China National Oil & Gas Exploration and Development Corporation (CNODC). In December 1997, he was appointed as the general manager of China National Oil & Gas Exploration and Development Corporation and deputy director of the International Exploration and Development Cooperation Bureau of CNPC. In August 2001, he was appointed the Assistant to the General Manager of CNPC and the general manager of CNODC. In December 2003, Mr. Zhou was made a Deputy General Manager of CNPC. Mr. Zhou was appointed a Director of the Company in May 2004 and the Vice Chairman and President of the Company in May 2008. Mr. Zhou was appointed President of CNPC in November 2011. |
